Discover ARC:
Adaptive Response Conditioning
Build the bridge to your Destination
ARC is a somatic therapy promoting neuroplasticity and epigenetics to reach your health and personal goals.
Create your new Story
ARC replaces internal narratives of adverse life experiences inhibiting your potential with new stories that support your full regenerative and adaptive powers to create the health and life you desire.
Ancient Wisdom & Modern Science
ARC refers to the luminous electrical discharge between two electrodes or other points as a modern image of the gentle, manual alternative to acupuncture known as Jin Shin.
ARC illuminates the mystique of Chinese Medical Theory with the light of Modern Science to promote a more effective model of Integrative Medicine for a healthier society.
Healthcare's Evolved Future
ARC is a balance of Functional, Integrative, and Holistic Medicine that includes Chinese Medical Theory and other Complimentary and Alternative Medicine Traditions, Somatic Therapy, Neurobiology, Epigenetics, Nutrition, Fitness, and Psychology disciplines like Counseling, Transpersonal, Archetypal, and ACT.
Systemic Body-Mind Support
Just like proper nutrition, exercise, sleep, hydration, meditation, and acupuncture prevent or improve numerous conditions across multiple pathologies, ARC works on a systemic level as an essential part of a comprehensive Body-Mind healthy lifestyle to prevent degenerative conditions, injuries, and disabilities, while improving balance, coordination, creativity, clarity, and productivity.
YOU are the most powerful medicine!
No medicine in the world is more advanced than your own body and mind. ARC taps you into that power.
In as little as 20 minutes, you and a partner can review simple instructions to begin applying ARC's manual protocol for each other and get powerful results in your first session, making this accessible to everyone who can’t afford to hire a professional to receive this method as often as needed for maximum benefits.
As a touch-based alternative to acupuncture, ARC provides an even more accessible and effective compliment to complete Integrative Healthcare Strategies. Discover the many benefits of therapeutic touch here.

ARC is not a substitute for proper diet, exercise, sleep, hydration, or medical care, but essential for everyone to maintain optimal health or maximize therapeutic outcomes.
How ARC works
ARC's manual protocol triggers parasympathetic response to:
1) relax nerves2) release fascia 3) free blood flow
4) restore ATP production, cell signalling, and nerve conductivity 5) balance hormones and the epigenome6) induce alpha and theta brain states 7) promote neuroplasticity 8) expand the brain's neural network9) globally process information10) determine functional adaptations to stress, dysfunction, disease, injury, disability11) restore homeostasis
12) promote healing and improved physical and cognitive function
ARC accomplishes this by holding the same points used in acupuncture until their pulses synchronize. Think of it like using jumper cables or completing an electrical circuit, except it's far more dynamic and interactive.
My original scientific term for this method is Biofeedback-Modulated Digital Stimulation (BMDS).
If you Google it, you'll find only references to Biofeedback-Modulation Electrical Stimulation, which uses electrostimulation instead of mechanical pressure.
The biofeedback here is the blood pressure felt by the fingertips of the practitioner, and the pressure detected by the mechanoreceptors in the skin and fascia of the recipient. Blood pressure and tissues in both bodies adapt to this interaction, requiring the practitioner to adjust pressure to reacquire the pulse until the pulses synchronize in both points.
Digital refers to the fingers, signals, and data as the modulation of pressure translates to signals, 0's and 1's with respect to the mechanoreceptors in the skin that detect Touch, Pressure, and Body Position.
Part of the stimulation involved here is mechanical pressure changing the elastic weave of fascia in the tissues which has piezoelectric properties and generates energy as the pressure changes in its matrix.
Ultimately this interaction induces parasympathetic response which relaxes the nerves throughout the body, causing tightened fascia to relax and unwind, which releases energy that was holding the fascia tight. This takes pressure off blood vessels and nerves, allowing cells to get oxygen and nutrients to stimulate ATP production in the mitochondria which gives us energy, as well as awakens depressed nerves, leaving us both relaxed and energized at the same time. This in turn enables the body to restore homeostasis. Meanwhile, this is all inducing alpha-theta brain waves, and promoting neuroplasticity which allows the brain to process vital information throughout more regions of the brain through increased neural connections to coordinate all the systems of the body to resolve dysfunctions, and improve problem-solving, decision-making, creativity, and insights that help us with every facet of our lives.

Mutually Beneficial
The nerves, local tissues, and entire systems of both the provider and recipient make small, subtle adjustments as both of their bodies processes information stored in the tissues, neurons, and epigenome, making ARC as therapeutic for the provider as it is for the recipient!
This requires constant attention and adaptation by the provider. The recipient's body recognizes this even if the recipient does not consciously register it.
There's a saying adapted from the Cherokee that goes:

There's a saying adapted from the Cherokee that goes:
"If you listen to your body when it whispers, it won't have to scream."
When we experience pain or disease from our lifestyle, it's because we haven't been listening to our body and respecting its quiet voice.
This is a result of social conditioning to ignore, override, and/or suppress our feelings, and treat our body like an inconvenient burden to deal with rather than a cherished community we rely on.
About 83% of the world's population now live in developed countries where our nervous system is overwhelmed with sensory overload from our urban, media-rich environments that drown out the quiet voice of our body and mind.
Neglecting our inner needs forces our body to "speak louder" through the only way it knows how: PAIN.
Feelings are the language of the body. ARC's method intently listens to the body through touch. This quickly lets the body know it can quiet down and relax.

Background
In 2001, I discovered that activating a sequence of acupoints using Jin Shin induced 100% involuntary extension of the affected limbs of a Stroke Survivor with 5% mobility, increased her voluntary mobility 5% immediately after, and restored 100% mobility by the 8th weekly session.
